SUMMARY

This issue publishes the short story book by Vasily Golovanov “The Butterfly’s Summer”, the short stories by Yelena Dolgopyat “Not a Very Large Life” and Yevgeny Edin “A Heaven Sniper” and also fragments of the new book by Vladimir Novikov “Aleksander Blok”. The poetry section of this issue is composed of the new poems by Olesya Nikolayeva, Yelena Isaeva, Mikhail Yasnov, Yelena Lapshina, Aleksey Alekhin. Also verses by Igor Rymaruk translated from the Ukrainian by Natalya Belchenko.

The sections offerings are following:

World Of Arts: The article by Feliks Novikov “The Social Debts of Architecture”: what is architecture now — a servant of the Russian modern elite or the national property?

World of Science: The final part of “A Very Personal Book”; the prominent scientist genetic Valery Soyfer recalls his encounters with his mentors Sergey Chetverikov and Nikolay Timofeeff-Ressovsky.

Comments: The article by Alla Latynina “The Elizarov case” is dedicated to the Russian Booker prize winner novel of the last season and to its author.

Literature Critique: The article by Leonid Kostyukov “Literature as an Attempt to Be Surprised”: does it exist a recipe how to create a successful piece of a literature?
