SUMMARY

This issue publishes “Adam’s bridge” — a novel by Sergey Solovyov, “Jan Walkers Funeral Feast” — a story by Oleg Zobern, “The Fair Catch” — a story by Irina Bogatyryova, as well as stories by Ukranian writer Sergey Zhadan translated by Andrey Pustogarov and “The Climb” — a story by Vera Afanasyeva. The poetry section of this issue is made up of the new poems by Svetlana Kekova, Vladimir Beryazev, Veronika Kapustina, Vasily Rusakov, Yury Kazarin.

The Heritage: Vyacheslav Polonsky’s (who was among the first “Novy Mir” editors-in-chief) journal (1920-1932) (continued).

Close And Distant: “The Writer I. Grekova — professor Yelena S. Ventzel” — an article by Galina Zverkina and Georgy Epstein highlighting the life of the mathematician and the well-known writer whose works were published by “Novy Mir”.

Comment: “The Atmosphere in └Litgazeta”” — an article by Alla Latynina recollecting her work in “Literaturnaya Gazeta” and polemizing with other memoirists.

Literary Critique: “The New Drama: Freedom practice” — an article by Vladimir Zabaluyev and Aleksey Zenzinov discussing “Verbatim” — a new trend in dramaturgy and theatre.
