SUMMARY

This issue publishes: “The Stranger”, a novel by Anatoly Azolsky, “The Kitchen Garden Map” — stories by Natalya Smirnova, “Pasta, The Franciscan Style” — a story by Boris Gaiduk, as well as “Lyublino”, an urban myth by Zhenya Snezhkina. The poetry section of this issue is made up of the new poems by Dmitry Bykov, Mariya Galina, Vladimir Gubaylovsky, Marina Boroditskaya and Boris Kletinich.

The sectional offerings are as following:

Philosophy. History. Politics: “The Monarchist Principle and the Power” — an article by Eduard Zibnitsky on the leadership issue under monarchist and republican forms of government and the problem of constitutional monarchy.

Close and Distant: “That Odd Person” — an article by Marina Krasnova discussing the personage of the well-known poem for children by Sergey Mikhalkov in historic context.

Essais: “└Eugene Onegin” and just └Onegin”” — Igor Klekh shares on impressions of the English film shot on the novel by Pushkin. Also: an article by Anna Novomlinskaya “Wait for me, Lili Marleen” on the popular song of World War II.

World Of Arts: “Five Plots on Architecture” — an article by Felix Novikov dwelling on the burning problems of contemporary architecture, both in Russia and worldwide.

Comments: “I have Seen the Evil Being Charming and the Goodness Being Boring”an article by Alla Latynina sharing on the culturology collection discussing the films “The Night Watch” and the “The Day Watch” shot by the books by SF and fantasy author Sergey Lukyanenko.

Literary Critique: “The Swallow” — an article by Irina Surat from the collection “Three Centuries of Russian Poetry”.
