Poetry of the issue is presented by new poems by Vladimir Kornilov and Olesya Nikolayeva, as well as new finds in the literary heritage of Yelizaveta Kuzmina-Karavayeva known as Mother Maria.
We are publishing four short stories under the common title “The Christmas Eve” by Irina Povolotskaya, short stories by Vyacheslav Pyetsukh and the belles-lettres and publicistic prose “The Seed Got between Two Millstones. Essays of Expatriation” by Nobel Prize winner Alexander Solzhenitsyn which continues the writer’s famous book “The Calf Was Butting the Oak”.
The section of publicistics presents the article “The Transcaucasian Knot” by Mark Feigin giving the history of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In the section “Publications and Reports” we continue to publish correspondence between Maxim Gorky and Iosif Stalin (materials from the archives of the President of the Russian Federation).
In the section “Far Nearness” we are publishing the end of the essay by Alla Marchenko dealing with the private relations between Russian poets Alexander Blok and Anna Akhmatova.
Literary criticism of the issue is presented by the article “The Reverse Perspective” by Vladimir Slavetsky and the notes “The Last Line” by Nikita Yeliseyev.
